Moon Beam
Galloping down the lonely lane
The horse - hoof beats don't sound the same
Clip - clop - clop - clip - clip they go
Piercing the air as it starts to snow.
Galloping into the cloudy night
She reaches a Christmas tree and takes flight
Over the trees, up to the moon
I'm sure that she will reach it soon.
Then she stumbles, down she falls
I hear her shrill, echoey calls
Down and down losing height
Falling into the deathly night.
I open my eyes, Mum turns on the light
She comforts me "All right, all right"
It was all a dream! What a relief!
Yet still I keep to my belief:
That Moon Beam the horse still gallops on.
